Features

  • BRT North will run between Sheffield and Rotherham through the Wicker, Attercliffe, Carbrook, Meadowhall and Templeborough.
  • BRT North would potentially include just eight stops between Sheffield and Rotherham interchanges.
  • At present, the stops being considered are: Sheffield City Centre, the Wicker, Attercliffe South, Attercliffe North, Carbrook, Meadowhall, Lock Lane, Grange Road, Westgate and Rotherham Interchange.
  • There would be a new link road under the M1 connecting Sheffield Road to Meadowhall Way, to help traffic and improve access to existing and new developments.
  • BRT North would also support long term district development strategies such as the Rotherham Renaissance Masterplan , Sheffield City Centre Masterplan, the Lower Don Valley Masterplan and the River Don District Development.
